Free TESDA Assessment in Abu Dhabi for OFWs! (2025 OAP) (2026)

Here’s a game-changer for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs): TESDA is bringing back its free assessment program to Abu Dhabi, and it’s a big deal. But here’s where it gets even more impactful—this isn’t just about handing out certificates; it’s about empowering OFWs to stand out in the global job market. From November 21 to 23, 2025, TESDA’s Overseas Assessment Program (OAP) will once again open its doors at Infinity Studies & Technical Solutions in Abu Dhabi, offering a lifeline to 200 OFWs seeking to validate their skills in Caregiving NC II and Health Care Services NC II.

This move aligns perfectly with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision to strengthen support systems for OFWs through skills development. And this is the part most people miss—by earning a TESDA National Certificate, OFWs not only prove their technical expertise but also significantly enhance their employability worldwide. It’s a win-win: OFWs gain professional credibility, and employers get verified, skilled workers.

TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez puts it powerfully: ‘Our kababayans abroad deserve the same access to quality skills assessment as those in the Philippines. Through the OAP, we’re bringing TESDA’s commitment to excellence closer to our modern-day heroes, the OFWs who tirelessly uplift the Filipino name globally.’ But here’s a thought-provoking question: Is enough being done to ensure all OFWs know about and can access these opportunities?

Registration for the 2025 OAP is now open via this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Bv2Axr6t726DqTYwheElTg-RZa9ipkPA0Yf3J9D-3nY/preview. Applicants need to submit a completed Application Form, a Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) for their chosen qualification, and a training or employment certificate. These documents can be downloaded here: https://bit.ly/TESDAPrepAssessment.

Already this year, the OAP has assessed 1,362 OFWs across five countries, with 1,192 earning certifications—a testament to its success. But here’s the controversial part: While the program is undoubtedly impactful, some argue that more needs to be done to reach OFWs in remote areas or those working in less regulated sectors. What do you think? Is TESDA doing enough, or is there room for improvement?

In partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers, the 2025 OAP aims to bridge the gap between skilled OFWs and global employment opportunities. By certifying skills according to national and international standards, TESDA isn’t just helping OFWs—it’s shaping a more competitive Filipino workforce on the world stage. So, here’s the final question: How can we ensure every OFW, no matter where they are, gets a fair shot at these life-changing opportunities? Let’s discuss in the comments!
