Milo Ventimiglia, the beloved actor known for his role in This Is Us, has opened up about his journey into fatherhood, offering a rare glimpse into the realities of parenthood. In a recent interview, Milo shared his thoughts on becoming a dad for the second time, and the challenges that come with it.
The Joys and Challenges of New Parenthood
Milo and his wife, Jarah Mariano, welcomed their first child, daughter Ke'ala Coral, just a year ago. And now, with baby number two on the way, Milo reflects on the whirlwind of emotions and experiences that come with starting a family.
"It's a beautiful thing, being a parent," Milo shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "But let's be real, it's not all sunshine and rainbows." He went on to describe the early mornings, the sleepless nights, and the constant worry that comes with caring for a newborn.
"Ke'ala is doing wonderfully, but she has her own schedule," Milo explained. "She loves to chat away to herself at the crack of dawn, and we're left wondering if she's comfortable, if she needs her pacifier, or if she's had an accident. It's a constant game of guessing!"
But here's where it gets controversial... Milo admits that he and Jarah might be considered "crazy" by some for having two children so close together. "People might think we're nuts, but we're just following our hearts and doing what feels right for our family," he said.
And this is the part most people miss... Milo's journey into parenthood hasn't been without its challenges. He and Jarah lost their Malibu home in the devastating California wildfires just before becoming first-time parents. "It was a hard year," Milo reflected. "We had to reset our expectations and find a new normal."
Despite the difficulties, Milo couldn't help but gush about his wife, Jarah. "She's incredible. Jarah, you're a superhero. You handle everything with grace and strength. I'm so proud of you."
