A life cut short, but a legacy of love and strength remains. This is the story of Nicole Lynn Allenbaugh, a young woman who left an indelible mark on the world despite her brief time here.
Nicole, just 32 years old, passed away on December 4, 2025, after a valiant fight against cancer. Her journey began on April 28, 1993, in Greenville, Ohio, where she was born to Michael and Connie Apple.
A graduate of Covington High School and the Upper Valley JVS, Nicole's early years were spent on the family dairy farm. It was here that she learned the values of hard work, patience, and the importance of family. She later worked at the Miami County Park District and Home Depot, but it was at A.M. Leonard where she truly found her calling and a community of friends.
But here's where it gets controversial... Nicole's true happiness was found in the simple pleasures of life. On June 14, 2014, she married Eric Allenbaugh, and together they created a home filled with love and laughter. Their two children, Madeline and Mitchell, were the light of her life. Nicole cherished the everyday moments, teaching her kids to fish, swim, and appreciate nature's beauty.
And this is the part most people miss... Nicole had a quiet strength and a gentle soul. She worked hard, but she didn't seek the spotlight. Her impact was felt through her kindness and dedication to her family and friends.
Nicole is survived by her loving husband, Eric, and their precious children. She also leaves behind a close-knit circle of family and friends, including her sisters, nieces, nephews, and grandparents. Her legacy will live on through them.
A service to celebrate Nicole's life will be held at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home on December 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be open to all on the preceding evening.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Lockington New Beginnings Church, or Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
As we reflect on Nicole's life, we are reminded of the power of love and the impact one person can have. Her memory will be cherished forever.
